Antique Carved India sandal wood Micro Mosaic Sewing Kit Item # 2560 Antique Sewing boxes,Antique Carved India sandal wood Micro Mosaic Sewing Kit. This gorgeous Sewing box is made from Sandal wood and dates from the 1840 period in India under British rule. Excellent original condition with a few small missing ivory inlays which is to be expected of a piece from this period. The front,top and sides along with the compartment covers are all hand carved with animals and scenes. The carving detail is very well done,obviously by a master carver. This antique sewing box from India measures 13 inches wide by nine inches deep and five inches high.
